Myanmar (Burma) Overview
Burma officially the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, is situated along the eastern coast of the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea and its northern borders stretch all the way up to the Eastern Himalayan mountain range. One third of Burma’s perimeter is uninterrupted and undeveloped coastline.
The City of Yangon was once the cleanest city in Asia, and the gateway to Myanmar. Ever green and cool with lush tropical trees, shady parks and lakes. Mandalay is the historical old capital.
Most of Burma has a tropical climate. Temperatures in Mandalay, in central Burma, average 68 °F (20 °C) in January and 85 °F (29 °C) in July. Temperatures in Yangon, on the delta, average 77 °F (25 °C) in January and 80 °F (27 °C) in July. You will find Burma has three seasons: rainy, cool, and hot.
