Gap year travel
Taking a gap year away from work or studying doesn’t mean you have to spend all your time lounging around on idyllic beaches partying the year away… although a little partying always helps!
If you want to do more with your gap year you could consider volunteering.
Volunteering is a great way to see the world in a different light, offering something back by working on locally run projects that benefit local communities and the environment.
From teaching children in India to working at an elephant sanctuary, there are a whole host of opportunities you could get involved in. You’ll become part of the local community during your stay and gain experiences that money can’t buy and will stay with you for the rest of your life.
If you wanted to see more of the world you could consider combining a tour with volunteering. You’ll spend your time travelling around your chosen destination seeing everything it has to offer. Which will provide a better understanding of the country and its people and on the way stop off to help out at a local community run project.
