If successful the working holiday visa allows you to:

• Live in Denmark for up to one year
• Work for one employer for max. 6 months
• Study at a recognisable institute
• Exit and re-enter Belgium any number of times while the visa is valid
• Visit other countries in the Schengen area without a visa

If you travelled to Denmark on a working holiday visa before, then it is not possible for you to be granted a permit for another working holiday visa.

Applications for work permits must be initiated and submitted only through Danish diplomatic missions in your home country.

Citizens of European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) countries have the right to work in Denmark without needing a work permit. Denmark is a member of the European Union, and as such, it adheres to the principle of free movement of labour among EU and EEA member states.

It’s important to note that while EU/EEA citizens generally have the right to work in Denmark without a work permit, you may still need to register your residence if you plan to stay for an extended period. This registration process typically involves obtaining a residence certificate.

Work in Denmark’s agriculture sector

The farmers are a close kit community so if you are unsuccessful at one farm, the farmer may be able to direct you to another farmer with vacancies.
