Cote d’lvoire Overview

Also known as the Ivory Coast, Cote d’Ivoire is a country that lies along the Gulf of Guinea on the west coast of Africa.

Many attractions of Cote d’Ivoire can be found in Abidjan, the biggest and most vibrant city of the country. Man, is a good starting place to explore the lush green hills and villages of the West of the country, Korhoho and the national parks of Comoe and Tai. The Ivory Coast has one of the last remaining virgin rain forests in West Africa at the Tai National Park, an unspoiled land dominated by huge trees, and abundant wildlife.

CLIMATE

The coastal region is hot and humid. Temperatures can vary from 76 to 83 °F (24 to 28 °C). Temperatures in the central forest region vary from 57 to 103 °F (14 to 39 °C), and annual rainfall totals from 39 to 98 inches. In the northern savanna, the temperature rises to 120 °F (49 °C).
