Aruba Overview

Aruba a small island just off the coast of Venezuela belongs to the Netherlands. Aruba is a hilly, rocky island but an easy, laid back destination that has coral reefs, white sand beaches that attract many tourists.

Hadikurari Beach on the northwestern tip is known for terrific snorkelling, as are the coral heads at the southeastern end. Baby Beach and Palm Beach are calm while Rodgers Beach has good surf. Almost twenty percent of the island has been incorporated into the Arikok National Park, near Mt. Arikok, close to the centre of the island.

CLIMATE

Aruba has a dry, hot climate throughout the year, with the average temperature throughout the year being 82F (28°C). A cooling trade wind blows from the east.
