KNOWN as the gateway to North Wales, Flint is dominated by its castle in the centre overlooking the dee estuary and is an ideal town if you have a craving to escape a crowded city.
With its tranquil rolling hills and valleys the countryside surrounding Flint is graceful and unspoilt, ideal for a days hiking. For those less active, Flint has a range of craft and antique shops where you can often see jewellery and pottery in progress.
