Pointing a finger at someone is considered very rude, and don't use a finger gesture to call someone over as it's a sign adopted by prostitutes to entice clients. Also it's considered rude to touch another person, although handshakes are becoming more common. Lastly never touch a child's head as people believe the head is spiritually vulnerable.

MAURITIUS

If you are invited into a family home, check to see if your host is wearing shoes. If they are not take your shoes off as you enter. I f you go to the bathroom, it's customary to put on a pair of slippers which can be found beside the door.

MONGOLIA

It is considered a bad omen to talk about death, divorce or accidents.

MOROCCO

Alcohol is tolerated in private bars out of sight of local people.
