SITUATED some 105 miles north of Glasgow on Scotland's west coast, Fort William is an ideal base for exploring the Western Highlands and Ben Nevis which, with a height of 4406 feet is Britain's highest mountain. To reach the summit a well established path leads you to the top, where you are able to view some spectacular scenery.
As well as Ben Nevis, located seven miles north of Forth William is the Nevis Range, where you can take a gondola up the slope of Aonach and on a clear day view the Isle of Skye and the Isle of Rhum.
Although busy during the summer months, there are plenty of things to see and do all year round and with a vibrant nightlife, Fort William is a destination that shouldn't be overlooked.
