Most travel requires either compulsory vaccinations or those that are recommended. Start your vaccination programme at least six weeks before departure, or earlier if you already have an itinerary.
For your vaccination requirements contact your GP or specialist travel clinic who will advise you on what vaccination you will require.

1. Cholera vaccination is no longer officially required by any country.The only type of trip where it may be unofficially required are overland Africa trips, where you haven't arrived through an international airport.
2. Immunisation essential if you arrive from an infected country - ie where Yellow Fever is present.
3. Yellow Fever certificate may be required.
4. Meningitis in India - is a seasonal risk in the north.
5. Japanese B Encephalitis you may be at risk.
