DIVIDED by three rivers, the yare, the bure and the waverley, Great Yarmouth is an important fishing port which stands on the log spit of land separating the fresh and salt waters.

With over a 1000 years of history, Great Yarmouth was a dominate trading post and with vast devastation of the old town during World War Two, there are still some historical delights to be found. Such as the medieval walls and part of the Rows, a complex pattern of narrow streets that grew within the walls.

With a promenade running along the seafront, you will find a vast selection of amusements to occupy your time throughout the day, and although, popular during the summer months, you are perfectly situated to explore the Broads and the surrounding countryside, which makes Great Yarmouth a destination to be enjoyed all year round.

If you are looking for a hotel, hostel or want some ideas for a day out you can easily do so by clicking on the links above. The directory will show you what restaurants, nightclubs, theatres etc can be found in the local area, as well as car hire companies and local taxi firms.
