If you need to fly in a stretcher you will need to gain medical clearance before travelling. You should contact your airline as early as possible to inform them that you will need to fly in a stretcher. This will give the airline plenty of notice to provide you with the necessary assistance.

For obvious reasons flying in a stretcher will take up more seats, so you will have to purchase extra seats to cover the airline’s cost of lost seating. You will also need to fly with the necessary medical supervision, as the airline are unable to provide you with this cover.
